A great hybrid.
I would say this is neither an extreme hiking shoe nor a great running shoe. It just looks and feels comfortable to wear. The shoe material is not covered with tuff leather for rugged trail nor water proof. It is actually very ventilated with mesh that has large holes for sweaty feet. The sole on the other hand is very durable and flexible with trail like grip for light hiking. Since the sole has deep tread traction, it is not primed for running or jogging on flat surface, but it can be done. The color scheme I have is the green brown which is called black/sesame here and I think it looks very out-doorish. the shoe is soft and is very fexiable.

How can I compare this shoe to an A4 or Jetta with snow-tires on it?

Good choice
I bought this shoes beacuse I prefer the sport shoes for the use diary. The color is 100% similar than the picture, they're very soft and confortable, the only cons that i found is they're very susceptible to dirty.
